The "LIVE!" Competition Has Begun!
Note where the Bid button was once gray is now green inviting the user
to place a bid for Lot #2. A simple "Click" on the Bid button
representing the current asking price will instantly be sent to auction
floor. And in most cases, faster than an auction assistant can recognize
a live attendee's bid!
With real-time, sub-second audio and TV quality video streaming to promote real-time interaction
between the Internet bidder and the auctioneer, bidders can feel like
they are part of the event as though they were there with the gallery
bidders. For more lot detail, a photo is always present and in plain view
on the bidding console.
When activated by the auction clerk, the Internet bidder can send a
live instant message to the auction house. Once received, the auction
house has several options to respond to and/or utilize that message for
the benefit of the bidder who sent the message or the entire bidding
gallery as a whole.
On the lower right hand corner, a list of sold, active and upcoming
lots are displayed and color coded for easy viewing. A real-time count
of the remaining lots in the auction event are also displayed. The lower
left-hand corner reveals all the current and historical bidding activity and auctioneer messages
for the sale.
Clicking on the dollar sign button, the bidder can view a real-time,
running total of all lots where this bidder held the highest bid inclusive
of taxes and buyer's premium. It also maintains a real-time accounting
of the bidding limits that may be set for the bidder. The "Open Book" button
features the real-time status of each lot in catalog view and any last
minute notes from the auction house.
